Artifacts
RHS serves the residents of Renton by preserving the artifacts, photographs, documents, and archival materials that illuminate our shared history. Each piece of our collection offers a unique look into the environment, people and organizations that shaped the city to what it is today.
Right now, we are in the process of securing additional space to store the artifacts currently held at the Renton History Museum. We expect the move out of the Museum to occur this summer.
Because of this, RHS is not able to accept new artifacts at this time.
Once we begin to accession new objects, there will be a preference for photos and physical materials that meet the criteria below:
Photos

From the last 20 years, taken in Renton

Depicting major events, including those that are social, cultural, artistic or political in nature

Depicting local school functions from pre-k to college level

Depicting COVID19 or the 2024 polar vortex
Materials
-
Branded COVID masks, immunization cards, and associated items

Fliers, tee shirts or other items reflecting the youth experience in Renton
-
Election pins, stickers, t-shirts, fliers and pamphlets

Government public service announcements in print
