RHS Board

Chris joined the board in 2023, and was elected to this role in 2024. He works for King County Department of Local Services, Maintenance Division and is a Renton business owner.

A 10 year King County Master Gardener and Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, Makenna is a Renton business owner with her husband, President Christopher Howell. 

A Mental Health Counselor for the Snoqualmie tribe with a Masters of Counseling Psychology, Courtney is a dedicated volunteer who serves multiple non-profits in our region.

President of the North Beach Genealogy Society and Ocean Shores business owner, Carrie is a trustee with the Grays Harbor Genealogical Society in Hoquiam and a member of the DAR - Robert Grays Chapter. 

Kai is a local historian from Newcastle, Washington. He has also been on the Board of the Newcastle Historical Society since 2021, focusing on research related to the town’s coal mining, logging, early settlement, and natural history. Kai is also a Forest Ecology and Management student at Washington State University in Pullman, where he is the President of the school’s Society of American Foresters chapter.
